The Team

Hi, we are KitchenTown

We are on a mission to enable F&B companies to develop and commercialize impact-driven products.

We support founder teams with bold and creative ideas.

Our startups create trustful brands, new experiences and technologies that address important challenges in the food industry. KitchenTown San Francisco was founded in 2014 in the San Francisco Bay Area, USA. The second location in Berlin is amplifying the European food startup scene.

The Berlin location opened in October 2019 and here we house a Product Development Area, and Co-Working Space and an ecosystem of entrepreneurs.

Food is a game changer

Food plays a big role for all of us every day – everywhere in the world. Hence, what we eat and drink has a great potential to tackle the global challenges of our time and create a renewed food system that is substantially healthier for the people and the planet.

KitchenTown is a place for the makers and shapers of tomorrow‘s food landscape: Here, we enable fb innovators to create products that have a positive impact on the world we live in.
Food can change the world.

Our focus topics

Food Tech Solutions EN

It is much more than ordering food via your smart phone. Developments in food move forward very fast and it seems, the pandemic has even accelerated this process. Furthermore, we see an increase of tech solutions from other domains entering the food sector. Tech accelerates food innovation and helps us to draw a futuristic picture of how the nutrition of the future can look like.

Circular Concepts & Sustainability EN

A better future through sustainable thinking in the food system! More and more younger companies show us how to re-think the way we source, trade, produce, package and sell food. On the other hand, consumers get more and more demanding towards the ecological footprint of the products they buy.

Alternative Protein & Plant Based EN

Progress for the planet – the rise of alternative protein! The market for alternatives to cow milk and meat products is growing like no other right now. There are good reasons for it: The impact of animal based products on climate change, ethical questions regarding animal welfare and the effects on health motivate consumers to start a plant-based diet.

Personalized Nutrition EN

The range of nutritional personalized CPGs is extremely wide. From free from-healthy chocolates, energy drinks made for gamers, drinks for elderly people or ready-made meals for kids – certain ingredients are not only used to reach a specific target group but also to improve the consumer’s life. It appears, “better nutrition” is becoming as much important as sustainable aspects.
