Like many food innovators Organic Pantry Co started out with a delicious idea and lean operations. To produce her gluten and grain free granola the founder Theresa used a small kitchen in the San Francisco Bay area. However she quickly grew a fan base and her production outgrew the capacity of that kitchen. That was the point our stories met.
MORE GRANOLA WITH KITCHENTOWN – AND ANOTHER INNOVATION
Shortly after Theresa moved her company into KITCHENTOWN, she developed a second line of products – flaxseed crackers. By taking advantage of KITCHENTOWNs connections to local distributors and retailers she was able to test her product quickly and over a 6-month period her crackers became a even better seller than the granola.

Now the challenge rather became to keep up with the rising inflow of orders. Normal extrusion equipment did not work, because of her unique formulation. Through its professional network, KITCHENTOWN introduced Theresa to an extrusion equipment design specialist to help her develop the larger scale manufacturing capability she needed.
